about
This was recorded in the spring of 2010, I think, in Cincinnati, Ohio. I was intended to be part of a compilation that never actually came out, and I got tired of keeping it to myself. Chris, Mike, John, and Leo (all from Cincinnati's finest ska/reggae band, the Pinstripes) rounded out the sound.
lyrics
Oh I bitched and whined a dozen times
Complicated our lives for what?
And sure I cried but I survived
I shoulda kept my big mouth shut
You know you gave me more than I had before
But still you couldn't fill my cup
Even if I got everything I wanted
It wouldn't be enough
And I feel so bad, yeah I feel so bad
Couldn't be satisfied with what you provide
The greatest love I never had
And I feel so bad, yeah I feel so bad
Couldn't be satisfied with what you provide
The greatest love I'll never have
I took some things quite personally
Though I know I had no right
I got obsessive, a little possessive
And all fucked up inside
I tried like hell to convince myself
Not to hold on to the thought
But against my will it continued still
No matter how I fought
And I feel so bad, yeah I feel so bad
Couldn't be satisfied with what you provide
The greatest love I never had
And I feel so bad, yeah I feel so bad
Couldn't be satisfied with what you provide
The greatest love I'll never have
I feel I must apologize as often as I can
'Cause you deserve much better than the kind of friend I am
And I feel so bad, yeah I feel so bad
Couldn't be satisfied with what you provide
The greatest love I never had
And I feel so bad, yeah I feel so bad
Couldn't be satisfied with what you provide
The greatest love I'll never have
